Pivoting Blades and what they are for?

Pivoting blades are attachment outside the side walls of the board which inclines +- 5° vertically and are especially designed for snowfering on ice providing an additional function to snow surfing.

The material the blades are manufactured of is very specific treated to achieve a high degree of hardness so that they allow highest speed and require a minimum of sharpening. In races on ice they are a must!

These pivoting blades works with the water film beneath like a jumper on a car. The differential movements du to uneven icy conditions is taken care of by the technology of these pivoting blades. They tends to remain horizontal offering an extreme stable surf feeling to the surfer. This happens to be the only component which is able to move as and when necessary as against all other parts of the board. As a result the pressure exerted on ice by a pivoting blade is constant over its whole length. This is very important for high speed sailing with a minimum of friction and a maximum of grip.
