Q20:

Can I sail the Snowfer on the water?
You can if you like the challenge. I'm not trying to promote the Snowfer as a windsurfer. I just want to show how versatile it is and how close it is to windsurfing (Also a good point to know is, if you sail over a weak spot the Snowfer can float). On my very first try on water in April of 1999, I was really surprised of the performance I experienced. With my body weight of 150 lbs. (approx. 67 kg.) using a 5.2 m sail on a steady 15 to 18 knots of wind, I got into planing and was having fun. I can't wait to try it again. Who knows it might turn out to be a good high wind board. The only change I had to do was to exchange the rear blades with two custom made aluminum weed fins. My next challenge is to try the Snowfer with the kite on snow and ice but first I have to learn how to fly a kite then maybe on the water too. I coud put wheels on it but let's not overdo it. I think it's versatile enough.

Q21:

What happens when someone falls on snow or ice, is it risky?
When someone falls, he or she is usually in motion and most likely, they will slide on snow or ice. Is it risky? (It could be risky) In my experience, all I can say is when I started competing since 1991 at the world class level where we put ourselves at the maximum risk I have never encountered anyone involved from any serious injuries. Sure we all fall one time or another but we always wear the recommended safety gears which give us great confidence. We have a good track record and we like to keep it that way. On a recreational level the risk is much lesser. All sports involve some risk therefore caution should be exercised. A good practice is to use your superior judgement to avoid using your superior skills.
